Abram's First Steps

Abram has been taking steps for the past few weeks and we've finally captured a few on video for your viewing pleasure. He is so cute, we get to see him do this everyday, but for all of those who don't live by us, basically all of our family and most friends, here is the little guy at work. It's taking him a little longer to get this moving thing down. You can't really blame him, he is a pretty big 14 month old. After this was shot he was headed straight for the bath, so excuse his immodesty. Also here's a picture of him in the bath afterwards with his cheeser smile.

We went to the Zoo as a family on Saturday. It was Abram's first time and he loved it! He thought the animals were more interesting than I thought he would. Among his favorites were the seahorses, the sharks, and the goats (he was able to pet the goats and really thought that was funny.) He also just really liked walking around with us and wanted to be out of the stroller most of the time.

We have had lots of fun with Abram's birthday celebrations. The Friday before his birthday we had friends over for a little party, and on his actual birthday, Easter Sunday, we went to the Yahne's. They are a awesome family in our ward, and they watch Abram for us while I am at work until Jordan gets home. Abram started off slow with both cakes, but finished with a real mess and nothing left over. We more sure have a eater on our hands. He loves food. He also loves all of his friends and family and his new presents. Here are a few shots.

Jordan's 28th Birthday

Jordan got a new grill for his birthday. He now wants to grill out every night. I am not opposed to this, but some things are just better cooked in the oven! So far, we have successfully cooked tri-tip steak, hamburgers, and chicken breasts. All turned out very yummy (some blacker in color) but still yummy. This is our first real grill, we had a little camp one that sat about 2 inches from the ground that went moldy last year. So we're excited for summer and our new options on our Char-broil gas grill. Jordan picked it out, of course with my opinion in mind also, from Home Depot and I had our friend Brian surprise deliver it on his birthday. Jordan was ecstatic that he'd be able to grill out for his B-day dinner. Also for his birthday he got a new book, The 5000 Year Leap....of which he has had his nose in quite often while watching his favorite news show, Glenn Beck. And we can't forget new pj bottoms from his mom, which we both enjoy wearing. They are so cozy!

It has been over a month since I posted anything, not unlike me one bit. But I figured I should warm up my blog for the week, because I'll be posting quite a bit, hopefully, that is. I should say I have intentions to, because I cannot promise anything.

This week is full of birthdays. Wednesday the 8th Jordan will be turning the big 2-8. And on Easter Sunday, the 12th Abram is going to be 1 year old. The year had flown by and I wish I could take it back and start all over. Really I do. So many things I don't want to forget about Abram being a little baby, and many things we didn't take pictures of that I wish I could go back and capture. I haven't even made a baby book for him, or even purchased one to even start!! Where has the time gone?

I downloaded the camera today onto the computer and wanted to post pictures but I don't have a whole lot of time, it's almost time to leave for work. Here's one shot of Abram with his crown on...most babies can put this around their neck, but not Abram..his heads too big. He loves taking it on and off. So cute!

It just happens to be that my 6th file, and 6th picture was of my Erin :o)It just happens to be the same year that your posted picture of us was taken. Isn't she a doll!? Tink for Halloween. I miss those times. Just coming over to hang out for anything and everything. Maybe someday I'll be able to just stop by to see you anytime I want again!! Today we took some pictures of Abram, and his teeth. He has gaps between his 4 upper teeth, which are really really cute! These teeth all came in at once last month, poor kid. He's still rolling around all over the floor, had learned to pick up cereal and put it in his mouth, is working on drinking out of sippy cups ( so far, there has been lots of water everywhere), and still hates to be on his stomach and doesn't really care too much to learn how to crawl. He is also working on his wave, he does it sometimes and sometimes not, by waving his entire arm up and down. He is the talk of the town, and shows off to everyone everyplace we go. So here's our little guy, with his cute smirk. We love him!
